I had learned from previous trips to Cameroon that hairy frogs, once removed from their cool natural habitat, do not travel well and seem intolerant of the higher temperatures in the lowland forest areas. The above specimens are preserved. The smaller female is on the left. Note the ‘hairs’ on the flanks and thighs of the male. March 1965.
