The dermal papillae can be seen particularly well in this preserved male hairy frog. Apart from interest in this frog from researchers in the Department of Zoology at the University of Ibadan, I had been asked by an American researcher to try to obtain specimens, so it didn’t matter so much that some of the frogs reached Ibadan in a preserved state.
